Or how to lose weigh with practicing Neuro-Linguistic Programming

With doing modeling of slim people or people who have to cope and overcome obesity and be over weighted, we come to the patterns (strategies) which have help these people to reach their desired results and achive their goals.

Neuron logistic programming (named also NLP) was originally created in a process called modeling.

This process is a brilliant study of human behavior in various areas and fields.

exerciseBy modeling we are exploring and gaining new knowledge about what are these patterns, which allows these brilliant people to be so successful above average and helps us finding out, what are those beliefs which provides them with success.

Therefore, with modeling of slim people or people who have to cope with being overweight and overcome obesity, we come to the patterns (strategies) that help these people to reach desired results.

There are several ways to do modeling of people; I will describe one of these methods here, in my post.

How to reduce/lose weight or to get slimmer is a behavioral strategy and behavioral strategies automatically take place only when they are supported by real internal state (emotions), which provide energy strategies that can go with the flow. Means, that with internal state we can active them.

If you want to copy a slim person, you must also model their internal state, which are allowing this person to remain slim.

If you don’t do this, you will need a lot of conscious attention, to be able to perform and undertaken the same strategy on yourself.

EXERCISE

For do a modeling of a slim person, please chose someone, that you know, and that he/she remain slim without effort.

Lose weightThis person should be healthy and have »ability« to stay slim without diet or all other different sources of cutting down on food.

This person should not have any problems with food, and should have normal eating habits.

It is not necessary, that you like all the things on the person you chose to model, as you will model selectively.

1.    Snuggle in the cozy chair and relax completely.

2.   Imagine you are watching the person you want to model. Imagine this person doing daily stuff.

3.    Imagine that you have a strong emotional and genuine connection with this person. Continue doing this until you get the feeling of total relaxation and confidence in the presence of such persons.

4.    Mentally enter into the body of the person and allow yourself to feel its gestures, movements, internal feelings.

How do you hold your body now? What is your breathing like?  What do you feel on the physical and mental level?  You hate that feeling or you like it?

Practice, how is to be different person until you get the feeling of total relaxation and you feel spontaneous.

Do not worry yourself with details but keep in mind a big picture.

Slim people5.   Imagine being another person, until you will stand in the place of your “chosen” person.

Check your posture, breathing and feelings, so that they remain the same as before.

Practice how to be in this state until you feel completely comfortable and this process will become automatic.

6.    Now you mentally exit from your body and observe yourself how easy you perform new gain behavior, which you have practice previously.

Well-being and feeling good in our body is the key to success.

This is because energy from the people comes from internal source, called human emotions.

And that’s why is very important, that you have these feelings and are familiar with them.

In general there are four different types of yoga (for different types of human characters).

In the West, the most popular is »Hatha yoga«, which for different types of human characters can be defined by five fundamental principles.

In general we know four diferent practice of yoga

  • KARMA yoga (yoga with altruistic action)
  • BHAKTI Yoga (the way of dedication and with selfless love)
  • JNANA YOGA (yoga of wisdom and comprehension)
  • RAJA YOGA (knowledge of managing body and mind)

There are four fundamental practices of yoga.
Later on, especially in modern world, some yoga masters have combine different ways of yoga, and remodel and transformed it with a Western world.
Quite known “modern” yoga is also Asthanga Ainyasa Yoga.

But today I will write a bit more about general facts about yoga practice, good positive effect on our body and health.

But we should forget that each “way of practice” suits certain individuals, their temperament and personal attitude to life.
That’s way we could sometime here people explaining that in certain yoga practice they just find themselves and can’t imagine going to some other practice.

yoga poseAlthough, me, as a yoga practitioner for numerous year now, would recommend to expand you thinking and being with trying out also other practice, maybe one day, at the right moment.

It’s always good that we explore all our possibilities, try new thing, and see if they suits us or not.
As for me, I am dedicated to Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga practice for some years now and I love it.

I can feel something is missing if some days go without practice. But for some time now, I notice, that I can do yoga practice while I am working in the garden, vineyard, go for a long walk, cycling… in all these things.
It is just important that I find that little peace in me.

Enough about me, let me introduce you a bit more thins wonderful thing, called Yoga.

All four ways of practicing yoga leads to the same goal; spiritual development, to deep spiritual knowledge and spiritual truth of life (the internal experience of growing awareness, wisdom and contact with us) and various forms of exercise.

Learing should be gradual and going step by step.

AJA Yoga (Royal Yoga)
is a method which monitors the waves of thought, thereby changing their mental and physical energy into spiritual.
This is the youngest »path« of practice. It is also called Ashtanga Yoga (yoga with eight steps practice).
In Raja yoga is also included most well-known yoga in the West countries, named Hatha Yoga.

The things that we could achieve if we are able to observe what is happening in ourselves are; cognition of our mind, nature of human being and minds.
The Raja yoga science offers us the way to observe our inner world. Studying Raja yoga does require neither faith nor religion.
It teaches us, Not to believe in anything, which we haven’t discovered for ourselves or haven’t been our own experience.
Nevertheless, it requires much time and continuous exercise. This is partly physical, but mostly mental exercised.
Spirit is simply part of the body and the finest works in the body, and vice versa.
If the body is feeling sick, consequently also our spirit is being the way our body feels.
If we are healthy, the spirit remains healthy and strong.
For most people, the spirit has a great influence on the body, with other words, means it is not developed enough.
Raja Yoga teaches that the outside world only robust aspect of the internal, subtle world.
Between mind and material is only apparent distinction, the reality is only one.
The aim of all science is to find unity, one from which all originates.
Raja yoga approach comes from the inner world, to study internal nature, and then manage the whole, both internal and external nature.

yoga meditationTo Raja yoga also belongs type of Yoga, called Hatha Yoga.
This is also a general path or technique which leads us to physical health, mental clarity and spiritual enlightenment.
Practicing Hatha Yoga combines Asan (postures), Kriya (purification of body art), PRANAYAMO (breathing exercises), concentration and meditation.

The word hatha itself indicates the objectives of exercise: ‘ha’ means ’sun’, ‘tha’ and ‘moon’, ‘hatha yoga’ is a technique that allows practitioner to balance his solar and lunar energy, and create restoring harmony in the body and mind with balancing the solar and lunar, male and female, active and passive aspects of the individual. This is not possible to achieve without merging breathing and meditation with physical postures.

Five basic principles of yoga

1. CORRECT Exercise (practice and exercise of body postures – Asana). Asana work systematically on all parts of the body; increases flexibility and muscle strength, increase and maintains flexibility of joints and spine, stimulates functioning of the heart and circulatory, modulates the function of glands and other internal organs, improves the awareness and ability to concentrate and regulates the functioning of the nervous system.

After practice, we feel very relaxed and full of energy. Each asana has three stages: the capture retains and abandonment of position. All three are performed as single, continuous movements.
The essential is the retained phase position, which we extend with regular exercise and afterward it’s performed more and more relaxed.

2. CORRECT breathing (breathing exercises – Pranayama). With the help of breathing exercises, we learn how to breathe more deeply and accurately.
Learning to be aware of breathing and the fact that the body, mind and breathing are inextricably connected.
Any anxiety or tension in the mind cause the breathing alters its natural rhythm and depth.
Moreover, with knowledge on influencing to our breathing, we can calm down the mind.
Practicing yoga breathing helps to restore physical strength and control our mental state, because it’s energetically and mentally calming down and balances.

3. CORRECT methodically relaxation (consciousness relaxing) correct exercises can relax the whole body and restore energy supplies.
The real deep relaxation must be threefold: physical, mental and spiritual.
Again it’s very important awareness and the fact that only we could consciously and thoroughly relaxed our self, with our mind.

4. The right food / nutrition. Means that the right diet is a healthy balanced diet, based on natural food.
The body of such human remains light and flexible, with calm spirit and resistance to disease is strengthened.

5. Positive thinking and Meditation, helps to get rid of negative thoughts and calm down the spirit.
Meditation is an integral and important part of yoga exercises!
Contrary to the belief of many, meditation is hard work, which takes a lot of perseverance, discipline and will.
Only with proper and regular exercise, we could achieve the desired effects; inner peace, developing compassion, kindness and love.

With proper deep meditation we can cleanse the mind of negative samples, blind reactions and finally achieved a state of mind, which no longer depends on external influences, as it stays and remains balanced in every situation.

For some time now I have notice that people are paying more and more attention to take care of their body, whether they are ill or healthy.

alternative medicineWe are also quite aware, that next to official medicine in daily practice, we also have available other possibilities, how to treat our body.

Alternative treatment comprehends complementary and alternative methods of treatment.

Alternative treatment is about preconceptions which way of treatment if more useful and also considers how to make treatment more effective than the official medicine.

I read couple of books written by those who practice alternative medicine daily.

I think is always good to look up all possibilities there are, before you decided for any treatment.

But, don’t get me wrong, I am still good with official medicine, which I deeply respect.

Although, that doesn’t mean, I can’t practice alternative medicine.

Most common methods of alternative treatment

  • Acupuncture
  • Chiropractic
  • Homeopathy
  • Herbal medicine
  • Osteopathy with naturopathy
  • Official medicine

In my post today I will briefly introduce each of the above mentioned treatments and methods (in fallowing posts that will come, I will wrote more about each alternative treatment).

Acupuncture treatmentAcupuncture – exist as treatment and has an academic tradition from more than 2000 years.

Thus today’s doctors have a huge knowledge, which allows them to predict certain course of disease treatment and to subscribe appropriate drugs for each stage in which disease is developing.

In Chinese medicine, and thus also in the acupuncture our health is defined with human ability to maintain a harmonious internal environment.

Acupuncture is a simulative therapy

Thin steel needles, or needles of gold or silver are stick to certain points in the body.

Needles stimulate certain point all the way to the subcutaneous tissue.

Treatment includes monitoring of the critical points at energy channels, named also meridian, usually through the chaff with the needles on the certain places.

With this is released blocked life energy.

Conventional surface treatments are: forearms, hands, lower part of legs and feet, sometimes also the back, although acupuncture points are all over the body.

For example, with certain point on the feet can be used for the head treatment. If the patient is relaxed, the stitch should be painless.

The patient could feel when needle enter the body, but afterwards when needle goes deeper, patient feels nothing.

Acupuncture needles are full and thin, long from 12 mm to 10 cm, and goes in to 6 mm, or even deeper.

Needles remain in for about few seconds or could be also ztill one hour, depend from disorder and acupuncture method.

Average time is for about 20 min. Acupuncture examination includes overall of patient tongue and pulse – touched on both wrists.

If is necessary, a therapist can carry our also a physical examination, which is often focused on certain parts of the body).

Acupuncture therapist is always very careful to avoid blood vein and main organs. Blood is rarely shown, but in case there is any, it’s only a small drop. Therapist may use only sterilized needles.

For the patient is recommended that he eats something before the treatment. This is to avoid tiredness and weakness.

After the healing patients is recommended to avoid tiring movements for some times.

ChiropracticChiropractic – beginning and evolving of chiropractic has start in the West.
All of its acknowledged educational institutions are operating in developed countries. It is also confirmed from the World Health Organization.

In many countries, is included in their health care system.

When we talk about beginning of chiropractic, we shouldn’t forget Hippocrates (450-375 BC) which is known after his work on the conclusions about spinal manipulation methods, described as »the most efficient among mechanical medicine«.

Official inauguration goes back to 1895 and belongs to Mr. D. D. Palmer from the State of Iowa.

Today the World chiropractic Association (WFC) brings together organizations from more than 78 countries.

Well know chiropractic is Dr. Yasuhiro Todo, founder of Slovenian Chiropractic Association – SCA. He defines chiropractic as a scientifically validate treatment method, which is specialized in the treatment of problems with the nervous-muscular-skeletal systems. If the vertebra in the incorrect position it may damage appurtenant joint ties.

Muscle groups could respond to this situation with cramp or with pain. This failure can consequently irritate spinal nerves platforms.

The President of Life Chiropractic College wrote: “Chiropractic with the spinal subluxation correction with normalization of backbone in biomechanics and with removing neurological barriers, allows the body to cure with its own vital forces”.

Homeopathy - is more than 200 year old method of treatment, based on the law of similarity. It heals similar to the similar.

Homeopathy comes from the word – homoios, which means similar and pathos means suffering.

It is heal with specially prepared medicines from nature, which have no side effects.

Homeopathic medicines boost defense mechanisms and immune system; therefore we could be healed with natural way.

Homeopathic medicines are prepared by a special procedure, the so-called potentiation.

This is the dilution; which is hardly stirred on the each stage of dilution.

Who is homoeopath?

Homoeopath is a doctor or therapist of natural medicine. Real homoeopath takes into account three principles: the law of similarity, potentiation and patient individuality.

Homoeopath prescribes medicine to a patient, after he’s done with a long and thorough discussion with the patient.

Used as a rule is also, that homeopath subscribes only one medicine to treat the complex problems of individual patient.

Homeopathy cannot cure the diseases which have arisen from irreversible defects in the functioning of the body or bodies.

One good example is children’s diabetes, where there has been a complete termination of the cells that produce insulin in the pancreas, and unfortunately in these cases homoeopath cannot help it.

But with success could be treated elderly patients with aged form of diabetes. Homeopathy can help them to reduce the amount of official products.

Homeopathy does not treat the problems that they can be eliminated only with the operation.

If the body still retains part of the function, then the possibility to improve the situation still exists.

It is the same with the treatment of mental illness.

Homeopathy can help if there was a disturbance at a functional level, such as depression, phobias, anxiety, and hyperactivity.

However, if the cause of the disease is organic nature, then there is not much to do to improve it.


How does homeopathic medicine work?

With those healing medicines, which in healty people eliciting certain signs or symptoms, homeopathic is treating ill person with similar difficulties.

The most common example is the onion. We all know, that when we cut unions we begging to cry and tear from the nose.

So like this, union (Allium cepa) is used as a homeopathic medcine for the form of acute coryza or in hay fever.Those who have try to smoke know, that with drag of the first cigarete you get a dizzy feeeling and nausea.

Thus, the tobacco (Tabaccum) is used as a treatment forvertigo and to treat weakness.For homoeopath symptoms are not disease, but is only manifestation of internal disturbances, which helps to choose the proper medicine, which then often acts on the whole body.

Four-leaved clover is for luck, black clover is for our health.

When we think of clover, we always first think of four-leaved clover, which should predict luck and happiness.

This time, I will write down some very positive effects by using black clover, which is body purification and body detox.

Red CloverThere are number of treatments, which offer you various diets, fasting, enema and all sorts of detoxing things.

body shapeIf you know how to properly manage your metabolism, you will lose up to 600 extra calories a day. Follow a few simple tips and you’ll succeed. Check out how to get your metabolism into action.

You can start by changing some of your habits and get out of your daily routine. However, you should be aware that the success of losing weight depends on many other things for example genes, lifestyle, etc..

When you wake up …

You will get your metabolism get up and running, if you have a healthy morning meal. However, if the organism is starved early in the morning, your metabolism slows down, the body begins to use its resources. Later you will be so hungry, you’ll literally empty the fridge. It can be very encouraging that various studies have confirmed that those who do not enjoy the breakfast are more likely to be over weight than those who regularly enjoy their breakfast.

And what should we eat for the breakfast? It should contain large portions of wholemeal carbohydrates, and proteins. Check also for the ballast stuff. You can, for example, eat oat flakes and fruit, with yoghurt. You can add some bran. This is a great meal to speed up the metabolism. The organism will be grateful.

Caffeine for the speed

Caffeine also accelerates the metabolism. A survey that was published by the Psychology & Behavior shoved that those who drink a cup of real coffee, speeded up the metabolism by 16 percent compared to those who have consumed caffeine-free coffee. Caffeine stimulates the central nervous system and accelerates the heart rate and breathing. However, if you’re not a fan of coffee, or because of health reasons should not consume (coffee is not for each), you can replace it, for example, with the black, or green tea. Both speed up the metabolism.

Drink cold water

Scientists from the University of Utah have found out that drinking cold water accelerates the metabolism. The reason probably lies in the fact that the body spends a few extra calories, while the cold water is adjusted to the warmer body temperature. Also, regular consumption of sufficient quantities of water helps in regulating the digestion. Scientists have demonstrated that those who consumed at least ten glasses of water a day had a faster metabolism than those who drink half less of water.

In office …

Protein snack in moderate quantities is helping to strengthen your muscles. More muscle means faster burning of calories and fat even at rest.

Green tea contains a component, called ECGC, which accelerates the burning of calories. According to some studies, to two to four cups of green tea daily helps to spend 50 extra calories. On the other hand, experts warn that because of its medicinal properties green tea is necessary to enjoy only in small quantities, not more than once a day.

Drink a calcium drink

A glass of milk or yogurt with less fat will be the right choice. Research University of Copenhagen has shown that the calcium accelerates the metabolism to the extent that it “forces out” the excess fat from the organism. This effect has only natural calcium and not calcium supplements.

Warning!
Be careful not to consume all three meals at the same time. Choose the one that you prefer.

Choose Organic Food

When buying food, try to buy as much organic food as possible. Note and be aware that white flour and sugar are very harmful to your body. Even fruit and vegetables, which are not naturally produced, are not any good for your health.

Chili PeppersEnjoy spicy food

Add to your lunch or a little Tabasco or chili and your metabolism will be faster with for about 23 percent. Such spices affect the nervous system and therefore promote digestion. However, beware! Maybe your body does not tolerate hot spices, so be careful. If you have health problems, please consult your doctor first.

Make sure to eat enough iron

Women specially should provide a sufficient intake of iron, because of the blood lose during menstruation. If you have too little iron in the blood, it means that your cells are not supplied, the muscles are not strong enough, and you do not have enough energy. Your metabolism is slowing down. Regular enjoy food, rich in iron (red beets, carrots, apples, onions, garlic, etc.).

When you get home …

Afford fish for dinner. For example, salmon, tuna or sardines. These are the right choice, especially if you have problems with weight. They speed up metabolism and give you a feeling of satiety.

And finally …

Make sure you sleep enough

Researchers from the Stanford University have found that people who have slept only seven hours a day for a longer period of time, are more likely, to gain weight. Sleeping is an important part of the normal functioning of metabolism. So you should afford at least eight hours of rest a day.
